Last year was a busy one for residential real estate in Colorado Springs.  Home sales hit a record high and properties sold briskly.  Broadmoor Properties brokers Michael Raedel and Tim Sheridan represented some of the community’s most distinctive residences – including many that sold for $1 million or more.  In fact, they finished the year as the No. 1 sales team for our Broadmoor neighborhoods.   Properties sold included single family homes in the Broadmoor Resort Community and Old Broadmoor, Broadmoor Brownstones and West Residence condominiums.   While recording our third highest sales year ever, we helped a variety of homebuyers:  first-time, second home, investment and move-up clients.  That success we attribute, in part, to our proximity to the five-star Broadmoor Hotel, knowledge of our unique neighborhoods and to the trust and referrals of our friends in the community.

Among other factors contributing to a winning year was the appeal of the scenic Pikes Peak region – considered one of the region’s most desirable places to live.  In fact, the city made headlines last fall as the one of the most popular destination for out-of-state buyers considering a real estate purchase. also posted its vote of confidence last year, naming Colorado Springs the #8 Top Housing Market for 2018. That high ranking is thanks to the Pikes Peak region’s wide range of property options and attractive home prices.  Specifically, the Pikes Peak region saw a median home sales price of $285,250 (June – December), compared to Denver’s pricier $454,547 for the same period.
