Some neighborhoods are so distinctive and welcoming they’re hard to leave.   That’s why homeowners Wayne and Uriko Stout recently moved back to the Broadmoor Resort Community after several years away.  The couple owned a home in the neighborhood in 2013 when Wayne – a logistics exec – was transferred to Chicago.  Two years later family circumstances brought the Stouts back to Colorado.  The couple initially bought a home south of Denver.

“But we never stopped missing Cheyenne Mountain and this beautiful area.  For me this was home,” says Uriko, adding that she had skied on the original Broadmoor Ski Slope as a child.  Then during a visit to Colorado Springs, she stopped by Broadmoor Properties’ office and learned of several homes for sale in the Broadmoor Resort.  The Stouts toured three and found just the right property on the private, picturesque Mont Blanc View cul-de-sac.  They then left on a family visit to Japan.  While overseas their home near Denver sold.  They were also able to electronically sign and close on their new residence. “We never imagined it could happen so quickly,” Wayne says.

They moved in this past June and agree that the community’s gated security, natural beauty, unmatched views of city and mountains as well as friendly neighbors created a perfect homecoming.  Both plan to hike the Broadmoor Resort’s 20-plus miles of well-maintained hiking trails and explore other great Colorado destinations.

“This is the perfect lock-and-go location – and finding it was so serendipitous,” says Uriko. “We love the sense of community here.”
