Spring is in full bloom here in the Pikes Peak region. Our Broadmoor neighborhoods are alive with budding trees, flowers and green lawns. While the Pikes Peak summit is still snow-capped, local golfers are hitting the greens, trails are open and families are heading to nearby Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Garden of the Gods, Seven Falls Park and other great outdoor destinations.
Our popular Broadmoor neighborhoods will welcome a number of new residents this spring. After all, we are located in one of the country’s most desirable areas. In fact Pikes Peak Association of Realtors’ data shows that January 2017 home sales were up 7% citywide, compared to last year.
As we enter 2017, I’d like to provide you an update on last year’s real estate activity — and on the trends likely to shape the New Year. We are happy to report that 2016 was a strong year – especially for properties in our Broadmoor neighborhoods. One clear sign: our sales were up 16 percent for 2016 over 2015.
