In celebration of Memorial Day this month, we are pleased to report that Colorado Springs has been named No. 1 on the list of “Best Places for Veterans 2019” by Military Times.   The annual ranking of 599 U.S. cities is based on three broad categories including veteran and military culture and services, economic indicators and livability factors including crime, health, school quality and traffic.  This year marks Colorado Springs’ third straight appearance in the poll’s top three.   In addition, in February Wallethub.com ranked the city among the country’s top three places to live for veterans.  How fortunate we are to have earned such distinction.

As Colorado Spring Mayor John Suthers points out, the community is extremely supportive of both its veteran and active duty populations.  “We are proud to be considered a welcoming home for the men and women who serve our nation.”

Broadmoor Properties has represented both Colorado Springs military and civilian home buyers and sellers over the years.  Some have chosen to live in a scenic neighborhood near the five-star Broadmoor Hotel — just minutes from the U.S. Army’s Fort Carson and a short drive to the Peterson and Schriever Air Force bases.  Others have selected a neighborhood across town, perhaps closer to the United States Air Force Academy and easy access to I-25.  All enjoy the region’s moderate weather, convenient access to the mountains and some of the nation’s most beautiful parks and trails.

We salute our military and their many contributions to the community.   So when it comes time to find your Colorado Springs year-round or vacation home, call us at 719-471-6200 or visit www.broadmoorproperties.com .   It would be an honor to serve you!
