If you’ve visited or live in the Pikes Peak region, you know today the area is home to almost 600,000 residents.  Many live on the city’s scenic west side with views of Pikes Peak, Cheyenne Mountain and the City of Colorado Springs.  The Broadmoor Resort Community, for example, overlooks the foothills and city lights below and is just a five minute drive from the Hotel’s main campus.

Broadmoor Development Co was founded just over 20 years ago.  Its goal:  Create an attractive gated, maintained community that reflected the five-star Broadmoor lifestyle.   The 200-plus acre property includes unmatched natural features, ranging from pine forests and rock outcroppings to broad expanses of open space and 20 miles of trails.  Many homeowners have chosen to integrate elements of these natural features into their own landscaping.  As one observer put it, “Instead of simply putting a park in your development, you built an entire community in a park!”  Much of our success can be attributed to the Hotel’s visionary owners, city officials and skilled land planners.  The Broadmoor Resort Community’s first home site sold in 1996.  Five years later, the project had sold out.

Today homeowners and their guests enjoy watching wild turkeys and other Colorado wildlife throughout the BRC’s open spaces and treed trails.  A manned entry gate provides security, and the Trails Committee sponsors regular hikes and events throughout the year.  Residents also enjoy beautifully landscaped common areas.   It’s a great place to live year-round or as a vacation getaway.
