The Local Real Estate Market
Colorado Springs has been named the top real estate market for 2025.
“Ranked No. 1 on our Top Markets of 2025 list, Colorado Springs has it all: breathtaking mountain views, top-notch schools, and a strong sense of community. The housing market might be squeezed by high mortgage rates but in 2025, expect to see explosive sales growth in some cities, particularly in Colorado Springs. Home sales in the Realtor.com® Top Housing Markets for 2025 are projected to rise significantly year over year”, states Realtor.com.
Although interest rates and affordability remain market factors many agree that the city’s unique demographic mix and ongoing development set up a strong housing sector. Recent examples of development include UCHealth’s announcement of a major $407M expansion to Memorial Hospital North that will nearly double the size of Memorial Hospital North in Colorado Springs. Colorado Springs approved The O’Neil Group’s urban renewal plan for a 27-story building downtown. The building will contain 404 apartment units, ranging from studios to three-bedroom apartments, and retail space on the ground floor.
“Colorado Springs is poised to be an overperformer in the housing market in 2025. The primary drivers of growth are a growing tech sector, aerospace, and computer system design. On top of this, Colorado Springs is experiencing growth in tourism related investment and employment as it further cements itself as a hub for domestic outdoor recreation. These conditions support a robust housing market growth in 2025 and beyond”, states Realtor.com.
