John Bartolin

John Bartolin joined Broadmoor Properties in 2006.  Throughout the last five years, he has brokered many of El Paso County’s high-end home sales.                                                                 

John loves Colorado, and has a true affinity and appreciation for Colorado Springs.  He specializes in the Broadmoor and surrounding neighborhoods, but he loves to sell anywhere in the city and prides himself on his knowledge of the market.  A 2001 graduate of the University of Colorado in Boulder, John has an extensive sales and hospitality background.  Before joining Broadmoor Properties, he held positions with Los Angeles-based Rix Bradford Consulting Firm and Hilton Hotels.  At Rix Bradford, he was responsible for marketing and fundraising for various political candidates.  With Hilton Hotels, John held positions ranging from operations management to business sales.

Michael Raedel has been with The Broadmoor for almost 20 years and joined Broadmoor Properties in 2007.  He has served as the company’s Managing Broker for the last four years.  As a native of Colorado Springs, Michael has witnessed the growth of the Pikes Peak Region as well as the Broadmoor Community.   As a broker, he has worked with many luxury  home buyers and sellers.  During 2011, he helped to generate almost $40 million in sales for the company and has a strong understanding of the luxury home market here in Colorado Springs.

Prior to returning to The Broadmoor, Michael was the Director of Sales and Marketing at the Garden of the Gods Club, Director of Sales at the Antlers Hotel and Regional Director for Peter Millar Luxury Apparel.   His extensive background includes sales and marketing positions for The Broadmoor Hotel and The Garden of the Gods Club. “I am fortunate to work in a field that combines both my understanding of what  luxury lifestyle buyers and sellers are looking for with my background in the service and hospitality industry,” he says.  “It’s great to see that real estate remains an attractive investment for so many of our clients.”

Since 1994, the J. Thomas Schmidt Co. and Broadmoor Properties have operated under the leadership of broker and developer Tom Schmidt.  As the visionary behind such communities as the Broadmoor Resort Community, the Broadmoor Brownstones and the West Residences, Tom has dedicated his 40-year career to superior residential real estate development, consulting and marketing.  

Tom's development portfolio also includes apartment, townhome and single family communities throughout Colorado Springs.  As a consultant to the Broadmoor Hotel's ownership he was responsible for more than $200 million in luxury real estate sales closed between 1996 and 2008.  In 2006 he partnered with the Sunrise Co. to purchase the Garden of the Gods Club, the 27-hole Kissing Camels golf course and club and 600 homesites from the Hill family.  During 2011 he led Broadmoor Properties to $40 million in closed luxury residential property sales.  

His background encompasses all aspects of real estate planning, development, construction, and marketing, and also includes brokerage and property management.  Tom has developed world class projects such as The Broadmoor Resort Community, The Broadmoor Brownstones, and The Broadmoor West Residence.  He is a past president of The Home Builders Association of Colorado Springs, and currently serves on the Recreational Council for the Urban Land Institute and as a consultant for Lehman Brothers Financial and the Ironbridge Golf Club and Community near Aspen, Colorado.
